Fataluku online dictionary: Grammar

The Fataluku online dictionary gives information on the following grammatical topics:

Mutation forms: Some Fataluku words have one or more mutation forms, which are given between round brackets. In these forms, a word-initial f changes into p, and a t or h into c (a palatal stop). Mutation forms are used if the word is not the first word of a phrase. Some words also have a third form, with an echo vowel preceding the consonant. For example: taia 'sleep' has the mutation form caia.
Plurals: Plurals are only given if they are irregular. Some words have more than one plural form. Regular plurals are formed by the suffix -ere, and are not indicated. For example: nami 'male' has irregular plural namirara.
Accent: If a word has an irregular accent, then it is given between square brackets. Most words in Fataluku have an accent on the second syllable, and this is not indicated. An accent on the first syllable is indicated by an accent sign on the vowel. For example: nucece [núcece] 'bathe' has accent on the first syllable.
Part of speech: The part of speech (lexical category) of the word is given between round brackets. This includes noun, verb, and a number of smaller categories.
